American Overseas hires directors for subsidiaries

American Overseas Group has appointed David Pickering and Conrad Voldstad as directors within its subsidiary Orpheus Group, increasing the size of its board from five to seven.

Pickering has also been appointed to the board of Reid Street Services, a captive management servicing company that primarily provides management services for affiliated companies and is expected to begin offering management services for third parties in 2015.

Voldstad and Sir Trevor Carmichael have also been appointed to the board of American Overseas Reinsurance Company, an entity organised under the laws of Barbados, to replace Clement Dwyer and James Zech.

Pickering has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with an emphasis on captive management. He currently serves as president/CEO of four insurance companies, is a director of a number of other insurance companies, as well as a consultant to Marsh IAS Management Services (Bermuda).

Voldstad was CEO of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and was founder and senior principal of Arlington Hill Investment Management. Carmichael is the founder of Chancery Chambers, a Barbados law firm engaged primarily in international business law, environmental law and law related to charities.
