Aon appoints regional head of captives for EMEA


Aon has appointed Vincent Barrett as regional managing director EMEA for its captive and insurance management business, based in Dublin.

Barrett reports to John English, chief executive officer of captive and insurance management at Aon.

He joined Aon in 2007 and moves from his previous role as chief commercial officer to assume responsibility for the group’s regional operations in EMEA. He retains his position as account chair on numerous complex global client accounts.

Barrett has held a number of other positions within Aon, including leading White Rock, co-leading its solution for Solvency II and developing its ILS value proposition.
