Aon promotes New York-based exec to chief broking officer for EMEA

Aon has named a new chief broking officer for the EMEA region, excluding the UK.

Tracie Thompson assumes responsibility for leading the EMEA broking team and strategy. She is based in Madrid and reports to Hugo Wegbrans, global chief broking officer, and Eduardo Dávila, chief executive officer of commercial risk, health and affinity in EMEA.

She has been with Aon for more than five years and was formerly a managing director in New York, driving client engagement, industry specialisation, leadership and business development. In that role she managed partnerships and engagements with a portfolio of top global clients across the firm, focusing on investment, reinsurance, health/life and P&C solutions and opportunities.
