Apollo hires terrorism and political violence head

Independent specialist re/insurer Apollo Syndicate Management has appointed Andrew Page to head its terrorism and political violence team. He will report to Chris King, head of crisis management.

Page joins from Beazley, where he was most recently international healthcare underwriter but previously spent a decade underwriting terrorism and political violence in London and Singapore. Early in his career, he also worked as a deputy class underwriter of political violence for Chaucer Syndicates.

David Ibeson, Apollo Group CEO, said: “Andrew’s arrival is a critical element of our strategic expansion plan for the terrorism and political violence line of business, which Chris has spearheaded.

“Chris will now focus on further developing the crisis management division, strengthening Apollo’s multi-line offering including political risk and specialty disruption insurance solutions. With Andrew’s focus on innovative collaboration and developing wordings and creative solutions, we are sure that our clients will reap significant benefits from his appointment.”
