ArmadaCare hires exec to drive expansion and business development

ArmadaCare, an insurance programme manager owned by SiriusPoint, has hired a new chief revenue officer (CRO) as it seeks to expand its activities beyond its initial footprint of executive medical reimbursement.

Mike Ross has spent the last five years at two insuretech companies, Health IQ and Bestow, and has also held senior positions at Mercer and Cigna International. At Mercer he was a partner and consumer business leader in the health and benefits division. At Cigna he was senior vice president of individual private medical and business development, and chief marketing officer.

Ross assumes responsibility for driving business development and sustained, profitable growth for ArmadaCare by overseeing sales, partner development, lead generation and account management.

ArmadaCare delivers uncommon health insurance solutions designed to enhance ordinary health benefits. It recently created the CRO position to support its future growth activities, which includes launching more than a dozen innovative health benefits products that complement primary plans in the employer market.

Ed Walker, chief executive officer at ArmadaCare, called Ross “an accomplished leader with experience driving sales and moving organisations forward.”

Ross said: "I admire ArmadaCare for how they are disrupting the market with their unique complementary health insurance solutions that address emerging needs like mental health coverage and access.”
