Cayman Management MD retires after 39 years with company


Cayman Management has named a new managing director, as David Roberts, who previously served in that role, retires after 39 years with the company.

JS de Jager has been named as the new managing director for Cayman Management. He assumes overall responsibility for Cayman Management and its affiliated companies, having previously worked as an accounting and corporate governance professional in both general practice and industry in South Africa.

Roberts joined Cayman Management in 1982. He helped establish and manage a variety of corporate structures, having maintained executive and non-executive directorships, including hedge funds, insurance and reinsurance companies, investment companies and international holding company structures.

He continues to serve on the Cayman Management board of directors as chairman. He will also continue to provide ongoing consultancy services to the group.

De Jager said he is committed to “expanding existing business lines and client offerings to private and institutional clients in the investment and local / international business spaces.”
