Chubb unveils next generation of workplace benefits

Chubb Workplace Benefits (CWB) has unveiled its next generation of group critical illness and accident products that includes benefits for diabetes, cancer and telemedicine services.

CWB is a Chubb business that partners with benefits brokers, agents and consultants to offer voluntary benefits to the employees of middle-market and large companies in the US.

Its diabetes benefit promotes healthy behavior by paying benefits while the insured is enrolled in nutritional counseling, gym membership and other programs after they are diagnosed with diabetes. The cancer enhancement package pays the full face amount for all cancers of the breast, even when diagnosed as carcinoma in situ, or non-invasive cancer.

Jon Wayland, senior vice president of sales at CWB, said: "The key to meeting the benefit needs of today's employers is flexibility and customisation — in product choices, plan designs, enrollment support and billing."

Janet Buzil, vice president of product development and marketing at CWB, added: "With more than 30 million Americans living with diabetes, primarily type two, and one in eight women developing breast cancer, the time is now to build innovative products that promote healthier lifestyles and provide Americans with better financial protection."
