CICA signals commitment to young professionals with board appointment

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has appointed Erin Hackett, senior audit manager at Crowe, to its board of directors for a one-year term. Her term officially begins at the March 2020 board meeting.

Hackett chairs CICA’s NEXTGen Young and New Professional’s Task Force, which began meeting several months ago. It is developing strategies and recommendations to promote networking opportunities and provide education and professional development opportunities for new and young professionals.

She brings 10 years of audit experience, including with commercial insurers and risk retention groups.

Hackett said: “Giving me the opportunity to join this impressive group shows CICA’s commitment to developing the next generation of captive professionals and leaders.”

“As part of launching the NEXTGen program the CICA board discussed ways that we could give the task force the support and resources they need to succeed,” explained Dan Towle, president of CICA. “The task force will have direct access to share their ideas with CICA leaders and it provides a young professional with exposure to governance and other career-enhancing leadership skills.”
