Cummins appoints new risk management executive

Sally Leyes (pictured) has been promoted to the position of executive director - risk management and finance functional excellence at Cummins.

On her LinkedIn page Leyes said that her new responsibilities now include leading a global risk team responsible for financing risk, mitigating risks, handling claims and operating Cummins’ captive insurance company. She is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Leyes was previously managing director of global risk insurance at the company from January 2020 to February 2023. Prior to that she was director of internal communications. She joined the company as a risk manager in July 2006.

Before joining Cummins Leyes was a broker at Aon Risk Solutions from May 2003 to July 2006.
