DVB mulls Bermuda senior life settlements captive

DVB is considering launching a Bermuda captive to provide financial guarantees in the senior life settlements (SLS) space, according to Andrew Barile, founder of insurance consultancy Andrew Barile Consulting.

Barile was recently elected to the board of directors of DVB Capital Assets II, an SPV created for the acquisition and management of SLS insurance policy pools.

Barile was co-founder of Bermuda’s first publicly held reinsurance company, Aneco.
