Finance Isle of Man names Sue Preskey as the new non executive chair of its board

Finance Isle of Man, an executive agency within the Department for Enterprise, has appointed Sue Preskey as a new non-executive chair to its board.

Preskey, who is managing director of local corporate service provider The Law Trust,  will take up the role as Aidan Doherty steps down after holding the position for the last two years. She will chair her first board meeting in December.

Preskey has over 30 years’ experience in the UK and international financial services as both a practitioner and a regulator. She has held senior roles across a range of financial services businesses including captive insurance, fiduciary, banking, investment and funds.

Finance Isle of Man is a public-private partnership that was created to support the growth of the financial sector in the Isle of Man, comprising representatives from the Island’s finance and professional services sectors.

Peter Greenhill, political member with responsibility for the Finance Isle of Man board, said Preskey’s “high level of experience and knowledge of the industry will be instrumental in developing and implementing a strategy for the agency.”

Doherty, who will continue to act as non-executive chair of the board until December 2020, added: “I am delighted to leave the agency board in the capable hands of Sue Preskey, who brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. The next 12 months will be a crucial time for Finance Isle of Man to deliver its ambitious goals and I wish Sue and the agency all the best for the future.’
