Former PartnerRe CEO joins Compre as chair following acquisition

Compre, the international specialist legacy group, has named Emmanuel Clarke, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of PartnerRe, as its group chair, following the completion of its acquisition by private equity firms Cinven and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI).

Clarke and Frank Koster, the former CEO of AXA Belgium, also join Compre’s board as non-executive directors.

The appointments came after Cinven and BCI became Compre’s majority shareholders on completion of their acquisition of Compre, alongside Compre’s management team, who remain in their roles and as minority shareholders.

Compre chief executive officer Will Bridger said: “With Cinven and BCI’s support and investment I look forward to bringing the client-centric approach Compre has built its reputation on across all our markets, making Compre the industry’s legacy partner of choice.”
