Guernsey signs DTA with Luxembourg

Guernsey has strengthened its international tax credentials with the signing of a double taxation agreement (DTA) with Luxembourg, the eighth full DTA signed by the Island.

Guernsey now has DTAs in place with Hong Kong, Isle of Man, Jersey, Luxembourg, Qatar, Singapore and the UK.

Commenting on the latest agreement, Gavin St Pier, Guernsey's treasury and resources minister said that the deal is “further demonstration of Guernsey meeting the highest global standards of international tax co-operation”.

Guernsey also signed a tax information exchange agreement (TIEA) with Botswana, bringing the running total to 42, with a further TIEA expected with Swaziland in the coming months.
