Holger Kraus takes the reins at Siemens

Holger Kraus, head of risk financing & employee insurances at Siemens, is to take over as head of Siemens Insurance at the start of February, he announced in a LinkedIn post. He will take over from Alexander Mahnke, who is moving to MSIG Insurance Europe AG, where he will take up the role of chief commercial officer.

Kaus brings over three decades’ experience to the role. He has been in his current position since July 2020 and was previously chief executive of Siemens captive reinsurer RISICOM. Before that, he held positions as head of insurance risk financing and strategy at Siemens Financial Services and as a strategic account manager at Aon Jauch & HuebenerAon.

“I’m very much looking forward to continuing to drive forward the success story of Siemens Insurance as a reliable partner for innovative insurance solutions – together with the entire team,” Kraus wrote in his update.

Mahnke, who has been CEO of Insurance for almost 12 years, announced his move to MSIG in November, writing, “I will leave Siemens with sadness in my heart, but I am looking forward to exciting endeavours with my new colleagues.”
