Horseshoe reveals head of insurance management

Bermuda-based insurance and ILS manager Horseshoe Group has appointed Fred LeMoine as its new head of insurance management.

LeMoine has over 20 years of experience in the Bermuda re/insurance market, and has held senior positions in captive management, re/insurance and ILS.

He most recently served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Aspen Bermuda.

Prior to this, he was vice president and account executive with Marsh Management Services in Bermuda, and has served as director on various insurance company boards.

LeMoine succeeds Nigel Godfrey, the group's CFO and executive vice president. Godfrey is set to retire on April 30, 2019, but will continue to serve as a consultant to Horseshoe, as well as the chairman of its UK operations.

"I am delighted to welcome Fred to the group. His tremendous depth and breadth of reinsurance industry experience, along with his leadership skills, will be critical strengths, as we continuously strive to add value to the clients we serve and chart our insurance management strategy in the years to come,” said Andre Perez, CEO and founder of Horseshoe Group.

Perez continued: “Through the talent of our people, quality of our client service and innovative solutions, Horseshoe is well positioned to realize the next stage of growth and I am confident Fred will contribute significantly to it.”
