Horseshoe snaps up former BDA exec in business development role

Horseshoe has named a new senior vice president of ILS strategic initiatives and business development in Bermuda.

Jasmine Desilva joins Horseshoe from the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) where she was risk and insurance solutions manager. Before that she was a wellness strategist and fitness director at the Bermuda Wellness and Outreach Centre.

Desilva also spent more than eight years at Sompo International in Bermuda, joining the company in 2010 as an excess casualty underwriter and leaving the company as an assistant vice president. She also served as an assistant underwriter at Endurance in Bermuda, a role she held for more than three years.
