ICCIE adds new electives to programme

The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) has unveiled plans to strengthen its captive industry education programme with the addition of three new electives.

The new additions will bring the total number of ICCIE courses to 17 and will be introduced in the 2015-2016 year.

The three electives that are currently being developed are ‘Regulation of Captives’, ‘Strategy for Captive Insurance Companies’, and ‘Advanced Investment and Captives’.

Additionally, the ACI designation has required two matriculants to complete five ICCIE core courses, three teleconferences and two electives. However, from now on the core course ‘Protecting the Captive’ will be divided into two separate courses and the ‘Investments and Captive’” elective course is now a required core course.

New ACI enrolees will now complete two electives and seven core courses, as well as three conferences.
