Captive manager JLT Towner Insurance Management has launched a sponsored cell captive in Connecticut.
The company, Isosceles Insurance Company, provides small and medium-sized businesses with access to captive insurance.
It can also serve as a single-purpose reinsurance vehicle for organisations of any size, according to Thomas Stokes, chief executive officer of Isosceles in the US.
Stokes, who also serves as managing principal and US consulting practice leader for JLT Towner, added: "This provides a timely opportunity for some companies as year-end approaches."
