KBRA appoints Bukow to insurance ratings initiative

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) has appointed Tina Bukow as senior director of business development for its insurance ratings initiative.

Bukow joins KBRA after twelve years with AM Best, where she was head of business development for insurance. She led a global team of business development professionals in the insurance sector and was responsible for ratings growth in the US, Canada, Caribbean and parts of the Latin American region, with strategic focus on the alternative risk transfer market among others.

Prior to AM Best, Bukow held various business development and marketing positions within the financial industry, with a large part of her thirty- year career spent in the insurance industry. She is a former executive director for the New Jersey Surplus Lines Association and has been an active member of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association and International Center for Captive Insurance Education.

“The addition of Tina to our firm further solidifies our commitment to provide a dependable rating alternative to the insurance industry. Tina brings with her a wealth of broad industry knowledge and extensive business development and marketing expertise that will help us continue to grow our Insurance Financial Strength Rating (ISFR) product," said James Nadler, president and COO of KBRA.
