Mandel announces his retirement from Sedgwick

Chris Mandel, the senior vice president of strategic solutions and founding director of the Sedgwick Institute, has announced his retirement.

Mandel spent eight years at Sedgwick, a global provider of technology‐enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions. He brought more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and risk field to his role, having served in various leadership roles at large companies. He was formerly president and chief risk officer of the Risk and insurance Management Society (RIMS).

He currently serves on several boards spanning the education, workers’ compensation and insurance sectors.

He now plans to pursue greater involvement in his ministry interests while contributing to the insurance industry through select partnerships and collaborations.

Dave North, executive chairman of Sedgwick, said he is “a pioneer in the insurance and global corporate risk management field and his presence and counsel will be greatly missed.”
