Mark Simons returns to Bowring Marsh to strengthen FinPro

Bowring Marsh, Marsh’s international placement specialist, has hired Mark Simons as senior vice president on its financial and professional liability (FinPro) placement team.

Simons rejoins Bowring Marsh from Ed Broking Bermuda, where he served as head of business development and production in the liability division. Before that he spent nine years as a senior vice president for Bowring Marsh Bermuda. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance market to the role, having served in various roles with Bowring (Bermuda), Aon Bermuda, STARR Excess Liability Insurance International, JLT Park, and HSBC Insurance Management (Bermuda).

Simons is responsible for serving clients, predominantly Fortune 1,000 companies, by negotiating financial and professional insurance coverage with Bermudian insurers. He reports to Sarah Carr, FinProplacement leader at Bowring Marsh Bermuda.

Simons said he had been tempted by the opportunity to return to Bowring Marsh because of its superior broking platform and history of innovation.
