NC self-funded benefits business strikes partnership with credit union

Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based ACS Benefit Services has partnered with member-owned credit union Allegacy to provide captive insurance to employers.

Founded in 1982, ACS provides third party administration and self-funded health plans to employers of all sizes. Allegacy Federal Credit Union, also based in Winston-Salem, is among the top-performing credit unions in North Carolina.

“This exclusive collaboration brings an innovative joint captive insurance solution to NC employer groups, giving greater control over their medical spend and maximum flexibility in plan design and coverage capacity,” ACS wrote in an update.
