Robus secures Guernsey ESG kitemark

Robus’s protected cell company and incorporated cell company have been awarded the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) environmental, social and governance (ESG) kitemark.

The kitemark recognises firms that follow the association’s ESG framework. Released in May, it aims to help member organisations manage ESG opportunities and risks and to deliver a positive ESG impact.

Robus, an independently operated insurance management, fiduciary and financial advisory group, worked to ensure its cell companies met the criteria and was independently reviewed by ESI Monitor, a Guernsey-based ESG benchmarking company.

Robus Guernsey director Adele Gale is also deputy chair of GIIA and was instrumental in developing the framework.

“What the framework seeks to achieve is behavioural change,” she said. “There is a strong desire within the industry to bring ESG discussions into the boardroom, and our aspiration in creating this framework is to make those discussions accessible to all our Guernsey based re/insurers, managers and prospects. I am delighted that Robus is leading by example and has received accreditation for its PCC and ICC. “

The firm joins Dunant Re IC Limited, an incorporated cell of Replexus ICC managed by Aon Insurance Managers, which was the first insurance entity to achieve ESG accreditation in September.
