SRS recruits WTW Guernsey office head to aid with European expansion

Strategic Risk Solutions has appointed Richard Paris-Smith as its European Client Service Leader. He will join SRS, the world’s largest independent insurance company manager, from the start of next year.

Reporting to Guernsey managing director Peter Child, Paris-Smith will be responsible for a portfolio of existing clients while working with the SRS team to support the company’s growth in Guernsey and Europe.

With over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, he joins from Willis Towers Watson, where he is head of its Guernsey office. Previously he was with Arthur J. Gallagher. 

With 24 years in the London broking market, much of his work focused on creating innovative reinsurance solutions. According to SRS, since moving to Guernsey in 2004, he has gained significant experience managing and advising captives and other specialized insurance and reinsurance vehicles.
