Stere expands into captive industry

Program placement platform Stere LLC has partnered with reinsurance broker Gulfstream Risk Advisors LLC to expand its platform to the captive insurance market.

The partnership will enable captive owners, captive managers and others in the alternative risk management market to source insurance and reinsurance capacity and access Stere’s digital tools.

Access to the platform will improve the efficiency of captive placements, said Rick Wiseley, head of business development at Stere.

The non-exclusive partnership with Gulfstream will be formalized with a revenue-sharing agreement, Wiseley said.

Gulfstream will help Stere get deployed in the captive and risk retention group market and facilitate alternative risk program placements, said Bill Hodson, managing member and reinsurance broker at Gulfstream.
