Strategic Risk Solutions appoints Tennessee manager

Captive management firm Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has appointed Jennifer Meranda as regional manager of its Tennessee operations.

She will assume many of the duties performed by Belinda Fortman who recently left the firm, including overseeing the servicing of clients domiciled in Tennessee and the expansion of our Tennessee operations.

Meranda joins SRS from Crowe Horwath where she served as a senior audit manager.

Her work at Crowe Horwath has included the audit of commercial insurance companies and captives.

Brady Young, president of SRS, said: “We are pleased to welcome Jennifer to SRS and our Tennessee office. We have gotten to know Jennifer over the past couple of years from work with our mutual clients and are confident she will be a valuable resource to the firm and the Tennessee captive community as we grow our presence in the State.

“Tennessee is a thriving captive domicile and we believe it has the elements in place to be a successful and stable captive domicile over the long-term. We have a fully staffed office in the Nashville area and we remain committed to the management of captives in Tennessee.”

Michael Corbett, director of the captive insurance division, Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, added: “We have developed a strong working relationship with SRS in Tennessee and value the commitment the firm has made to the captive community in our State.

“We congratulate and welcome Jennifer into her new role and look forward to working with her. Tennessee is well positioned to continue its growth as a captive domicile and it is exciting to see managers such as SRS re-affirm their belief in our domicile.”
