Strategic Risk Solutions to hold RRG webinar

Strategic Risk Solutions, a provider of underwriting and risk management services to captive insurance companies and alternative market insurers, will be holding a webinar focused on risk retention groups (RRGs) this week.

The webinar, New Standards for the Management of RRGs, will be held on Wednesday 11 May, 2016.

It is designed for all current and prospective captive owners considering a RRG and anyone interested in understanding more about this specialist form of captive insurance company.

The webinar will cover the background to the regulation of risk retention groups, as well as regulatory creep and non-domiciliary state concerns.

It will also discuss new developments in RRG regulation, such as NAIC corporate governance requirements and the model audit rule.
Details will also be given about complying with the new standards and how changes will impact the RRG marketplace.

Speaking at the webinar will be Sean O’Donnell, director of financial examination, Risk Finance Bureau, District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking, and Dan Petterson, director of financial examinations, State of Vermont – Department of Financial Regulation.
