VCIA highlights benefits of attending annual conference


The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has released more information on the events that will make up the programme at its upcoming annual conference in August.

The VCIA said that it will now include 18 educational sessions and 7 interactive discussion groups on captive trends and emerging risks, culminating in Hot Topics with Vermont’s Dave Provost on Thursday August 11th.

It added that the conference provide professional development for every level of industry experience with captive topics related to climate change, insurtech, social inflation, data analytics, and more. Education credits are available for most sessions.

In addition the VCIA said that the conference environment is designed for developing relationships and striking deals, featuring networking lunches, an evening reception near the waterfront, and an exhibitor space to engage with over 70 captive service and product providers.

VCIA conference chair Ian Davis, senior vice president and captive insurance relationship manager at M&T Bank said: “Expect a full slate of educational programming on all manner of topics vital to captive insurance owners and industry professionals. Sessions will feature a wide range of thought leaders and industry experts, all of whom demonstrate a keen understanding of the issues facing captive insurers today.”
