Ed Koral, Willis Towers Watson
Willis Towers Watson has hired Ed Koral to its strategic risk consulting group in New York. He joins from accountancy group BDO, where he was managing director and charged with growing BDO’s insurance and risk management consulting capabilities, focusing on captives and self-insurance, among other areas.
Koral was with BDO for less than two years. His tenure at the firm, starting in May 2020, followed almost 18 years with Deloitte Consulting, where he led its risk management practice in New York, specializing in insurance services offered to non-insurance organizations. Services he led included captives, alternative risk financing and program reviews.
Before that, Koral spent 17 years with Marsh and its predecessor companies, working with large corporate insureds on alternative risk programs such as captives, self-insurance and structured transactions.
“I’m excited to be joining the Strategic Risk Consulting group at Willis Towers Watson, delivering world-class analytics and dedicated to improving client outcomes,” Koral said in an update on LinkedIn.
