Devin O'Brien (pictured) has been appointed executive vice president - captive management, North America, at Artex Risk Solutions.
He will oversee captive management and client servicing for Artex's North American domiciles which include the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Vermont, South Carolina, Hawaii and Arizona.
O’Brien was previously executive vice president - finance & operations, North America at Artex, based in Illinois from January 2024 to June 2025. Before that he was vice president - financial management group captives, North America. He joined the US branch of Artex as group captive financial manager in December 2019.
Prior to that he worked for Artex Risk Solutions in the Cayman Islands as client services manager from August 2016 to August 2019, where he had the responsibility of managing a portfolio of captive insurance companies domiciled in the Cayman Islands, writing risk in the United States.
Before he worked for Artex O’Brien was a senior associate at PwC Cayman Islands from October 2014 to July 2016, where he was primarily involved in the audit of captive insurance companies domiciled in the Cayman Islands, in accordance with US GAAP.
