Pygmy champion to be 2025 CICA conference keynote speaker

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has announced that Justin Wren (pictured), founder and chief executive of Fight For The Forgotten, will be the keynote speaker for its 2025 International Conference, March 9-11, at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona.

As a former prominent UFC fighter Wren found his true purpose in helping others while living in the rainforest among the Pygmy people. Since 2013, his organisation has provided life-changing clean water, housing, healthcare, land ownership and freedom from slavery for thousands of the world’s most disadvantaged people.

Wren’s keynote, From the Ring to the Rainforest: Leadership Principles from an Ultimate Fighter’s Remarkable Journey, shares his story from headlining the UFC, to facing addiction, and ultimately, to his work in the jungles of Africa helping those in need.

“Justin ‘The Big Pygmy’ Wren has a powerful message of redemption, empowerment, and love through his mission to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves,” said CICA in a statement. “Justin shares the tools, tactics and techniques needed to navigate adversity, find purpose, and achieve meaningful impact in business and in life.”

Leon Rives II, chief visionary officer, RH CPAs, which is sponsoring the keynote address, said: “Justin Wren speaks from a heart of passion and perseverance. His message is inspiring for both a personal and professional mindset.”

“We look forward to welcoming Justin to our 2025 conference and having him share his authentic and motivating keynote message with our attendees,” added CICA president Dan Towle. “His story of resilience is a valuable reminder of the impact each of us makes in our organisations and the industry.”
