US Awards 2021
These awards commemorate the efforts and achievements of the most exceptional domiciles and service providers in the US captive insurance industry in 2020. There were separate awards for companies and individuals, to ensure the efforts of outstanding professionals working at smaller or less well-resourced firms received the recognition they deserved.

Our aim with this publication is to highlight the captive insurance industry as a career path that offers challenges, opportunities to collaborate and a chance to innovate. Within these pages, you’ll find articles from organisations across the board, from state regulators and university professors to risk managers exploring the wonders of the captive insurance world and the opportunities within. What all these organisations have in common is their desire to promote the captive industry and encourage graduates to join it.

US Focus 2021
The captives industry has an excellent opportunity to showcase the value of captives to their parent companies, to educate the broader financial markets, and to attract young talent.

Bermuda Focus 2021
Six decades have passed since Fred Reiss, the “father” of the global captive insurance industry formed the first captive here, Bermuda remains the world’s foremost domicile for captives.

Europe Focus 2021
Europe has always had a vibrant insurance market. Lloyd’s is perhaps the most famous and historic insurance institution in the world, while many of the larger insurance companies—including AXA, Zurich, Swiss Re and Munich Re—are European. In the world of captives, though, Europe remains a relative backwater, with most of the action taking place in the US, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands.
