Isle of Man Captive Association appoints chair

The Isle of Man Captive Association (IOMCA) has appointed Ross Dennett as its new chairman.

He replaces Gaynor Brough, managing director at Aon, after five years in the role.

Dennett currently serves as director of Thomas Miller Captive Management.

John Garland, head of corporate financial services at the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development, said: “I look forward to working with Ross to ensure that the Island’s Captive Insurance sector continues to go from strength to strength.

“The Isle of Man is home to a number of global blue chip captives and effective public/private sector relationships are key for driving growth and maintaining our reputation as a first class international business centre.”

Dennett added: “I am delighted to succeed Gaynor Brough as chair. She has put in a huge amount of effort over the last 5 years and I will be keen to maintain the positive momentum she has given the Association and the Isle of Man’s captive industry in general.”
