Salil Bhalla announces retirement

Salil Bhalla (pictured) has announced his retirement from the insurance industry after 35 years in the sector.

Bhalla had spent the last three years at Allianz Commercial as a manager for global captive fronting and spoke as a panellist at the most recent European Captive Forum in November.

He previously announced his retirement from AIG in 2018 after a 25-year career with the carrier, including as head of complex multinational – UK, and head of global fronting – AIG Multinational. He returned to the industry with Allianz in 2022.

Announcing his retirement on LinkedIn, Bhalla said that it had “been an immense pleasure to work with Allianz Commercial these past three and a half years as part of the ART, global captive fronting and multinational teams.”

His career included time working in Bermuda, Paris, London and Spain.
