London & Capital to tackle Solvency II challenges
London-based wealth manager, London & Capital, is set to undertake a series of educational roadshows across Europe to help European captives ahead of the implementation of Solvency II regulation.
The wealth manager is working with local insurance associations to discuss the challenges ahead for small insurance companies and captives in a series of roadshows set to take place in June.
In conjunction with the roadshows, London & Capital has launched a new offering to meet the demands captives are facing in the run-up to the end of the year.
The offering, Compass, identifies key investment needs and requirements for the transition, while also reviewing existing portfolios. This includes analysis of capital weighted returns and volatilities and will position portfolios in line with market cycles and the wider macro environment.
Compass also incorporates bespoke reports which include CIC and NACE codes for Solvency II standard model reporting.
William Dalziel, partner and head of institutional clients at London & Capital, said: “Solvency II is a complicated piece of legislation and one that has caused some concern among insurers in the UK and EU.
“Captives in particular are likely to suffer under it and we’ve created Compass to offer a solution for those companies which are faced with navigating the complex changes. The roadshows, which fall under the Compass launch, will be held across Europe to highlight some of the issues and investment challenges Solvency II will inevitably bring.”
