South Carolina updates captive licensing playbook
The Captive Division of the South Carolina Department of Insurance, in conjunction with the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association, is holding a virtual lunch and learn webinar on the captive insurer licensing application process in South Carolina.
The webinar is on April 29, at 12 noon.
SCCIA Members will also be able to join a separate breakfast at the Harbour Club at WestEdge in Charleston on Friday, May 8. Coffee and networking begin at 7:30 am. Breakfast begins at 8:00 am.
According to the organisers South Carolina’s application and instructions were recently updated, and additional general instructions for forming a captive in South Carolina have been published.
The SCCIA stated: “Learn about the application items that are critical to the Division's review when applying to obtain a Certificate of Authority, and acquire tips that will result in an efficient application review and approval process. Presenters are Andy Noga, Captives Director, and Ann Cuniffe, Captives License Coordinator, at the South Carolina Department of Insurance; and Jordan Paszek, Project Manager and Account Executive at Pinnacle Actuarial Resources.”
