SRS hails Bigglestone hire
Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has appointed Sandy Bigglestone (pictured), the former Deputy Commissioner of the Captive Insurance Division at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, as managing director/chief governance, regulatory, & compliance officer (CGRCO).
SRS said that starting from January 2026 Bigglestone will provide firmwide leadership and guidance to ensure the firm’s clients have best in class governance procedures in place and are in compliance with various regulations that impact captive owners in various jurisdictions.
She will also be closely involved in the recently announced specialised initiative - SRS Titanium - in delivering innovative captive insurance management and consulting solutions for Fortune 500 and other global and complex organisations where governance and regulatory compliance is an increasingly important issue for owners and will leverage her regulatory and compliance expertise to manage increasing demands being placed on captive owners from various governmental agencies.
SRS added: “Over her 29-year career at the state level, she has been a key contributor, along with many others, in establishing Vermont as the gold standard for captive insurance regulation in the US. She has also been actively involved with National Association of Insurance Commissioner (NAIC) and other industry bodies in promoting appropriate regulation of captives and other insurance entities.”
