Strategic Risk Solutions promotes to create account executive

Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has promoted Matthew Smith (pictured), a senior account manager since May 2017, to account executive, based in Tennessee.

Before joining SRS, Smith was assistant vice-president and senior loan analyst for healthcare at Pacific Western Bank in Franklin, Tennessee. Before that, he spent almost six years at Crowe Horwath working with captives.

Smith now manages a portfolio of captive insurance companies and risk retention groups, overseeing financial reporting, operations, compliance and corporate governance for each entity.

His responsibilities include liaising with the State of Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance on behalf of clients and the firm, alongside financial institutions, accountants, actuaries and other service providers.
