USC Captive Insurance Company gets new director of operations

Wajeeha Shakeel (pictured) has been appointed director of operations and financial analytics at the University of Southern California (USC).

She will be working at the USC Captive Insurance Company, based in Los Angeles. 

Shakeel has been at the USC for six years, having started as a CFO Finance Leadership Fellow in October 2018. In October 2020 she was appointed financial reporting / project manager, strategy & operations at USC.

In January 2022 she became financial / data analytics manager at the USC Captive Insurance Company.

Prior to working at the USC Shakeel was at Pacific Enterprise Bank for three years. She started as a senior credit analyst in October 2015 and was then made a relationship manager/underwriter in February 2017.
