VCIA opens registration for 40th annual conference

Registration for the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA)’s 40th Annual Conference has opened.

The conference will take place on August 11-13th, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Burlington, Vermont.

According to the VCIA captive beginners and veterans alike can now register at vcia.com and ensure their spot at America’s biggest captive event, where they will enjoy productive networking, in-depth educational sessions and innovative business opportunities.

The VCIA said that it expects to host close to eleven hundred captive professionals from throughout the US and around the globe.

VCIA chief executive Kevin Mead (pictured) said: “The captive industry continues to see unprecedented growth, and as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, our conference remains the premier destination for professionals at all stages of their captive journey—from newcomers to seasoned experts looking to expand their knowledge and networks.”

The VCIAA said that essential elements to the 2025 VCIA Annual Conference include:

• 31 world class captive insurance educational sessions, most of which will be CPE/CRE/CLE and ICCIE-eligible, led by preeminent speakers and covering the latest captive trends/emerging risks, including (but not limited to) climate risk, AI, mergers, and social inflation.

• Access to industry leaders, 75 exhibitors and the Vermont regulatory team. Attendees will build impactful relationships and find business opportunities at networking lunches, special receptions and the exhibit hall, a sold-out space ripe for client and  prospect engagement.

• Enhanced cooperative conference experience for captive owners, who will enjoy peer-to-peer contact and direct information exchanges through an exclusive captive owner lunch, expanded captive owner forum and a captive owners’ tour of Beta Technologies, a leading innovator in electrical flying planes.

• 40th Anniversary Celebration Gala, plus the popular exhibitor reception and off-site Hotel Vermont party.

Conference Chair Ryan Gadapee, Shareholder at Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer, emphasised how attending the VCIA conference delivers concrete value to attendees and their organisations. "For our 40th anniversary, we've elevated every aspect of the experience—from expanded educational offerings to exclusive networking opportunities. The VCIA conference continues to be where meaningful connections happen and where the future of the captive industry takes shape."
