VCIA to highlight AI in November think tank

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association has announced that it is to hold an exclusive VCIA member think tank entitled ‘The Age of AI and its Upshot for the Insurance Industry’.

The event will be on Thursday, November 13th 3-4pm EST, and can be accessed via Zoom.

The VCIA said: “Join a conversation with two stellar AI-focused professionals who will discuss the major trends and trajectories of AI, and how this societal-changing technology can enhance insurance business operations.”

Cameron MacArthur and Jason McBride will be the two speakers at the think tank.

VCIA Board Member MacArthur is the founder and chief executive of AI Insurance, a platform that digitises and automates the policy, insured, and claims management process, which particularly serve captives and RRGs well.

He started his career doing research in computer science and human computer interaction during his undergrad at Northwestern, and then he worked in Boston at IBM as a cognitive software engineer before he founded AI Insurance in 2018.

McBride, is a partner at AIX Ventures, an AI-focused venture firm run by AI practitioners investing in Pre/Seed startups for Fund I. He has over 15 years of experience operating at the intersection of enterprise infrastructure and innovation, first at Microsoft and later at M12, Microsoft’s venture arm, where he placed early bets on AI startups tackling deeply embedded enterprise pain points long before AI became a boardroom buzzword.

The think tank supports one of the VCIA’s Strategic Pillars - World Class Education & Member Engagement.
