Atlas approved to manage captives in Georgia
The Georgia Insurance Department has granted approval to Charlotte-based Atlas Insurance Management to act as a manager for captives domiciled in the state.
This marks the first captive manager to be approved by Georgia in 2017, and Atlas is now one of fifteen firms operating in the domicile.
Georgia opened up its state to captive managers in 2015. It is the 14th domcile in which Atlas has been approved as a captive manager, following Oklahoma and Texas earlier this year.
“Georgia is a very competitive and attractive captive domicile,” said Martin Eveleigh, chairman of Atlas. “We look forward to being part of Georgia’s captive management landscape and joining one of the most business-friendly states in the country.”
