Atlas gains approval to act as Oklahoma captive manager

Atlas Insurance Management has been granted approval from the Oklahoma Department of Insurance to act as a manager for captive insurance business within the state.

The Charlotte-based captive insurance management firm is the first captive manager from North Carolina to be approved by Oklahoma.

“We are pleased to have received approval to do business in Oklahoma,” said Martin Eveleigh, chairman of Atlas.

“The state is a growing domicile, and we are looking forward to working with Oklahoma’s Captive Insurance Division. Atlas already has two captives that we will be managing in this new domicile.”

Atlas had recently received approval from South Carolina to act as a captive manager for the state, and the firm plans to pursue state approval in other US captive domiciles throughout 2017.
