Atlas gains captive manager approval in Texas

Captive insurance management firm Atlas has been granted approval from the Texas Department of Insurance to act as a manager for captive insurance business in the state.

Working with Texas regulators, Atlas will provide captive insurance consulting and management services to companies for captive formation.

“Texas has a very business-friendly environment,” said Martin Eveleigh, chairman of Atlas Insurance Management. “We look forward to giving companies headquartered in Texas the ability to be domiciled in their home state and provide an option for any companies looking to re-domicile their existing captive business.”

This marks the thirteenth domicile in which Atlas has been approved to act as a captive manager, following its approval from Oklahoma at the start of 2017.

Atlas has said it will continue to pursue further domicile approvals throughout the year.
