Energi's eCaptiv forms two group captive programmes in Canada
Massachusetts-based managing general agency Energi Insurance Services has formed two group captives through its eCaptiv subsidiary to tackle the commercial auto insurance market in Canada.
The first captive targets companies that have HazMat exposure while the second will be focused on more generic short-to-medium haul fleets.
Both captives programmes are aimed at companies with more than $250,000 in primary casualty premiums.
“The eCaptiv program allows members the ability to control their own destiny,” Tony Passarelli, general manager and vice president of distribution, Energi of Canada. “Members can exit the traditional insurance market to combat current commercial auto trends.”
The programmes intend to commence in July 2019, and are in the process of accepting submissions for prospective members.
All members joining will adopt risk management technology programs such as dash cameras, telematics and online training.
eCaptiv's sister company, eTech Services’ Telematics Exchange and eLive Connect will be used to aggregate telematics data from a number of telematics service providers and provide 24/7 loss prevention and safety training for drivers.
