HDI Global to open Bangkok office

HDI Global is opening a Representative Office in Bangkok, Thailand, following regulatory approval from the Ministry of Commerce.

The office will be in Bangkok and will be run by the newly appointed marketing director Somchai Trongwisalpattana, reporting to Graham Silton, managing director of HDI Global Singapore.

HDI Global continues to grow strongly across the ASEAN region, especially in Thailand. “The opening of our office in Bangkok shows our commitment and growth ambitions for Thailand and the wider region to serve our clients and business partners locally,” said Silton. “We are delighted to welcome Somchai to our team. He is highly respected and well connected in the industry and I am very confident he will actively promote and showcase our capabilities to the market.”

Trongwisalpattana can look back on nearly 40 years in the insurance industry with a broad experience in commercial as well as industrial insurance. “I am very pleased to be a member of HDI Global and a representative in Thailand. I believe that the new office will bring value and benefit to our clients and brokers in the form of fast decision-making processes of a Global Player who acts locally close to its clients’ business,” said Somchai.
