Hyatt Hotels Corporation appoints new risk management director

Paul Smith has accepted the position of director of risk management - insurance procurement and compliance with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

In a short statement on LinkedIn he said that he looks forward to working with Jennifer Pack and her team at Hylant Hotels Corporation.

Smith was previously director of insurance at FirstGroup America from February 2018 to February 2023, where he was in charge of managing risk for the largest operator of school busses, transit busses and interstate busses in America. Part of his job duties included managing a $750 million captive insurance company.

Before that he was director of internal audit at Zurich North America from June 2015 to June 2017.
