KBRA's insurance ratings group names MD

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) has appointed Donna Halverstadt as the managing director of KBRA's insurance ratings group.

Halverstadt has over 30 years of experience with financial institutions, primarily insurers. She spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs, devoted to the firm's research, investment banking and fixed income divisions.

She has also served as a sell-side corporate bond research analyst at Morgan Stanley and Nomura.

“Donna brings with her a unique skill set that will be complementary to KBRA’s best-in-class insurance knowledge already in-house. Her addition accelerates our drive to be the market leader for insurance in financial strength ratings and in the capital markets arena,” said Ira Powell, chief operating officer of KBRA.
