Adam McSharry-Downie has been made audit director at KPMG in the Cayman Islands.
In his new position he will lead the teams for a portfolio of clients in the insurance and asset management industries, delivering audit and related services. His client portfolio includes captive insurers, commercial insurers, operating entities and private and mutual funds who prepare their accounts in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
He started working for KPMG as an assistant audit manager in Aberdeen, Scotland, in September 2012.
In March 2016 he was appointed audit manager in the Cayman Islands, where he managed a portfolio of clients across both KPMG’s insurance and enterprise practices. These included captive insurance entities, trust companies and local entities including public sector organisations.
He became senior audit manager in October 2020.
