Lockton appoints new head of UK P&C retail
Lockton announced the appointment of Clarissa Franks (pictured) as head of UK P&C retail.
Franks will report into the European CEO, EJ Hentenaar, and work with Tony Hardy, head of UK P&C, to transfer over the retail area of his responsibilities.
The broker said that Franks will play a key role in Lockton UK’S continued growth, reinforcing its solutions led approach for clients, and will be responsible for accelerating the expansion of the UK Retail Division when she takes up her new role in November.
Lockton said that the appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in talented Associates and a commitment to providing the very best client service. Over the past year, the division has seen significant new client wins and growth of 21% on the previous year, reflecting a strong proposition to clients. According to Lockton Franks will be joining the division at an exciting time and her leadership will be invaluable in building upon this momentum and unprecedented growth.
Franks joins from Marsh where she held a series of senior leadership roles, most recently as the retail placement leader for Marsh UK and Ireland’s three client-facing divisions – risk management, corporate and commercial – where she was responsible for placement strategy and execution. She was also a member of the executive committee responsible for the leadership of the risk management division and has worked on placements for some of Marsh’s largest global clients.
“Lockton P&C Retail has enjoyed 31% revenue growth over the past two years with all offices in the national business retaining and winning clients,” said Hardy. “The appointment of Clarissa as Head of Retail is a key part of our long-term succession planning. She is the best of the best and knows how to drive meaningful change, while maintaining the client centric culture we have created. I am thrilled to have her on board and to see the positive impact she has on our offering to clients.”
